Welcome Alexander Pappas, our new Sales Manager for E-commerce.

We’re ecstatic to welcome Alex Pappas as our new Fintech and Finance Sales Manager. Alex has a broad background from e-commerce, telco, finance and Fintech and experience from both business development and marketing.

Rhi Burns, CCO at Zimpler says: “Alex’s energy is contagious and this energy coupled with his understanding of e-com and fintech will be vital in propelling Zimpler forward. A solid addition to a super star team!”

What is your role?

"To broaden the portfolio of e-commerce and similar segments and expand it within our existing markets. I will also attract relevant merchants to Zimpler and - together with our merchants and my team - make a statement within payments and Fintech."

Why did you choose to work at Zimpler?

"I wanted to join the team because we are in such an exciting phase where we are expanding like crazy and are going from start up to an established market player to count on. To work hands on with that seemed like too good an opportunity to pass up. "

What challenges do you face in your new role?

"The opportunities are equal to the challenges. Last year the e-commerce sector went through a half-decade’s worth of change compressed in less than 12 months on account of the pandemic. This gives us a really heavy advantage. But, we’re stepping into a market with over 10 years of history, Sweden wise, based on incorporated habits with experienced competition from players whom have passed the rough stage of introduction in the market. To find a relevant and realistic role within a market on its way to maturity is always challenging, but to realize and clarify that you have to create your own path is a great way in the right direction for winning shares."

Enough business, what do you like to do outside of work?

"I love to spend time with friends and family. When circumstances allowed, travel is something I really enjoy, preferably exploring old port towns around the world rich in history and culture. And no matter what I always try to get up at 5 am and start my day with a 5k run, I love neo classical architecture and making someone else happy doubles up my own happiness!"
